The Job

We are looking for a passionate and highly collaborative UX Designer to join our growing team in New York. As a UX Designer on the Creative team, you will have a direct impact on our clients and defining the next generation of UX at Fluid.

Responsibilities

  • Work with an Experience Lead to design innovative retail experiences and refine workflow and requirements processes 
  • Sustain and implement UX fundamentals like Design scrums, Taxonomy and structure, Requirements, and Rapid prototyping
  • Develop requirements and task flows
  • Design site architecture and key wireframes to reflect approved requirements
  • Prototype key wireframes in a program such as Sketch, Axure, Proto.io, or similar
  • Write functional requirements documentation or annotations
  • Innovate and determine the best tools and processes for your projects
  • Bridge across other disciplines in Engineering and Creative to help shape the future of digital commerce and retail

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Detailed craft work in Rapid Design prototyping with a versatile tool kit (Graffle, Axure, Bootstrap etc)
  • Proficient in User-Centered design with details to include user and systems flows, screen maps, prototype models, and functional specifications
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, some JS
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools including Axure, Sketch, InVision 
  • Self-starter who is user-focused, detail and solutions oriented
  • Written and verbal skills to be reckoned with 
  • An ability to work with our clients
  • Interest or experience in e-Commerce, device and mobile
  • A great portfolio should include: sitemaps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes - show us how you kick a$$ crafting rich interactive, intuitive and compelling experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), information architecture (IA) or equivalent professional experience
  • Pixel-pushers need not apply
