The Job
Fluid is searching for a Software Implementation Engineer to be a technical lead for product implementations of Fluid Configure.  Fluid Configure is a SaaS product offering that provides top retailers with a wide variety of merchandising tools including for product customization.

As an Implementation Engineer you will be strong in Javascript, HTML and CSS, but also be very good with problem-solving and data analysis. We’re looking for someone to wrangle a lot of product ‘DNA’, get deep into the details, while being creative about using the Fluid Configure platform to meet the client’s needs.  You will also be managing the publishing of Product data between development, QA, and production environments.

You have strong personal time management skills and work well with internal teams, clients and third party vendors.

You will be working with a talented implementation team from Analysts, Project Managers, Customer Success and QA.  Egos are not part of our culture. Responsibilities

  • Execute the technical tasks involved in Fluid Configure Implementations
  • Support implementation project manager in client meetings and training
  • Work with project team members to ensure high quality implementations and on-time delivery, and post-implementation technical support
  • Help grow the team by training and supervising employees and contractors
  • Use your experience to help innovate Fluid’s product suite

Desired Experience and Skills

  • B.S. Degree; major in computer science preferred or relevant experience
  • 4+ years experience developing front-end web applications with Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Must be able to write standards-compliant and cross-browser supported code. IE8+, FF, Chrome, Safari, iOS, Android, etc.
  • Experience working with JSON APIs using JavaScript
  • Amazon AWS experience is desired
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand internal systems and methodologies.
  • Ability to be able to solve for technical challenges that customer requirements may imply
  • Be able to use the latest techniques with graceful fallbacks.
  • Understand responsive web development best practices and ways to make the UI perform better on lower bandwidth devices.
  • Enthusiasm for problem-solving and analytic thinking
  • High levels of initiative, commitment, and professionalism
  • Results-driven, self-motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude, and a strong drive for success
  • Highly organized & detail oriented
  • Excellent time management, efficiency, and ability to perform under pressure and think on your feet
  • Knowledge of imaging packages like RealityServer, Scene7 and Liquid Pixels is valuable but not required
  • Atlassian Suite: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
